Patriots Sign RB/Release WRAs reported earlier today by TCFS, RB Amos Zereoue was signed by the Patriots. He could become the team's 3rd down back and have some value in a couple weeks. To make room for Zereoue, the Pats released WR Andre Davis. Its a sure bet that Davis will be picked up by some team in the coming weeks.

Difference a Year makesGreen Bay Packer RB Ahman Green is struggling as are all the Packers for that matter. Packers.com has through 3 games this season Green has only rushed for 170 yards and has yet to score a touchdown but through the first 3 games of the '04 season Green accumulated 314 yards and 3 touchdowns. Without any type of running game Favre can no longer carry a team himself like he once could and is the major reason the Packers have yet to win a game this season

Coaches On The Hot SeatAnyone taking bets on who the first NFL head coach to be fired will be? As of now it appears that Houston's Dom Capers and Mike Tice from Minnesota are well ahead of the pack. Caper's Texans are showing little if no improvement from last season, and seemed to have regressed on offense, hence the firing of offensive coordinator Chris Palmer. Meanwhile, Tice's tenure with the Vikings has always had its share of drama, so another couple of losses would make his dismissal a forgone conclusion. Stay tuned.

However, according to Clayton, the Jets have serious concerns over the health of Pennington's right shoulder. Saints Get Home ScheduleThe New Orleans Saints finally have a home. Well, 2 homes actually. They will play 4 games at LSU's Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and 3 games in San Antonio's Alamodome in Texas. The San Antonio games will be weeks 4, 6 and 16. Robinson Released By Minnesota TemporarilyKoren Robinson WR Minnesota was released by the Vikings in a salary cap move. He is expected to re-sign with the club in a few days. Teams make this kind of move to avoid paying a guaranteed salary. In similar moves the Steelers cut QB Charlie Batch, the Titans cut WR Troy Edwards and the Broncos cut WR David Terrell. All are expected to join back up with their respective teams early next week according to the Associated Press.
