Ricky Williams To Play In The CFL

Ricky Williams RB Miami signed a 1 year deal with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL (Canadian Football League) according to the Miami Herald. Williams signed a deal for a reported $240,000 and will not be eligible to join the Dolphins until his suspension ends for the 2007 season.

Quarterback Gibran Hamden of the Seahawks was named NFL Europe Offensive MVP for the 2006 season.

Younger Vick to South Beach?

Former Viginia Tech and now FA QB Marcus Vick may be close to signing a deal with the Miami Dolphins according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and Palm Beach Post. HC Nick Saban would like for Vick to try his hand at the WR position but Vick wants to be a QB. The Toronto Argonauts have also been in touch with Vick and want him to play QB for them. This is an interesting dilema for Vick because the rookie minimum contract in the NFL is $275,000 something that the Argonauts will not be able to match.
