Some players are garnering quite a bit of ink lately, and could be thought of as fantasy football sleepers that could sneak down the draft line this season. A few of them are:

WR To Retire

WR Keyshawn Johnson will reportedly announce his retirement within the next 24 hours.

Texans WR2?

The WR2 job for the Texans will reportedly come down to WRs Andre Davis and Kevin Walter.

Chiefs Trade K

The Chiefs have traded K Lawrence Tynes to the Giants for future considerations, making rookie K Justin Medlock the odds on favorite to win the Chiefs K job.

Raiders Sign WR

The Raiders have signed WR Travis Taylor.

Falcons WR Re-Injures Knee

Falcons WR Brian Finneran re-injured his left knee which caused him to miss the 2006 season. It is unknown if this will cause him to miss 2007 and beyond, or if it is just a minor setback.

Redskins IR FB

The Redskins have placed FB Nehemiah Broughton on the IR with an injured foot, effectively ending his season for 2007.

QB1 For Vikings?

It appears as though QB Tavaris Jackson will be the new QB for the Vikings in 2007. It is unknown how this pretty much unproven QB will fare under the spotlight of being a QB1.

New RB1 For Lions?

As of now, RB Tatum Bell is the RB1 for the Lions while RB Kevin Jones recovers from his injury. It is uncertain who will be the RB1 when Jones is healthy later this year.

Dolphin Still On The Weed

Dolphins RB Ricky Williams has tested positive for marijuana and will not be able to allpy for reinstatement to the NFL until September. He should remain effectively off of everyone's radar screen for 2007 and beyond.

Steelers Sign RB

The Steelers have signed RB Kevan Barlow to a one year contract.
