EFF Breaking News - Chris Brown Signs

FA RB Chris Brown has signed a one year deal with the Titans. This figures to be the end of the road for Brown if he does not produce for the Titans.

Browns Present Starting QB

If the season started today, it is widely believed that the Browns starting QB would be Derek Anderson, which leads most to believe that QB Brady Quinn will be a starter before too long.

Where Will Culpepper Go?

Who knows where QB Daunte Culpepper will land in 2007. Miami does not want him, Green Bay does not need him, and Jacksonville might take him. In any event, he should not be taken in any fantasy draft this season.

New QB For Saints?

FA QB Drew Bledsoe may become the QB2 for the Saints, backing up QB1 Drew Brees. It is unclear though if Bledsoe will accept a backup role.

Bucs QB Depth Chart

The current Bucs depth chart lists Jeff Garcia as QB1, Bruce Gradkowski as QB2 and Chris Simms as QB3. The QB2 and QB3 will probably switch at some point this summer, but it is widely speculated that Jeff Garcia will be under center for the Bucs on Week 1.

A Trip South For McCardell?

FA WR Keenan McCardell may be heading to the Texans. The team has expressed in tered in him, and a spot could be his for the right price.

A New Home For Brown

With RB Chris Brown still trying to catch on with an NFL team, Chicago has now entered the picture. Although traditional thinking is that Brown will sign with the Titans, a signing with the Bears could garner him 500-600 yards and maybe 4 or 5 TDs.

The Giants have placed FB Jim Finn on the Injured Reserve, ending his season for 2007.

WR2 For Panthers?

As of now, it appears as though WR Drew Carter is the WR2 for the Panthers, but he is more suited for a WR3 role. WR Dwayne Jarrett is more suited for the WR2 role, but is currently behind Carter on the Depth Chart.

It's early, but Garcia gets the nod from Gruden

Tampa Bay Buccanneers head coach Jon Gruden has let it be known that the starting quarterback job is his to lose, as he far outshown his two competitors for the position, Chris Simms and Bruce Gradkowski. With Gruden's job on the line, he needs a veteran like Garcia to help him get wins and save his job. If Garcia does end up the starter, he'll put up decent fantasy numbers (23 touchdowns, 3100 yards), but the receiving corps and running game need to step up to make him a truly effective quarterback.

Eagles Release WR

The Eagles have released speedy but ineffective WR Bethel Johnson.

Raiders QB Out 4-6 Weeks

Raiders QB Andrew Walter is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a knee injury.

Saints WR Out 4-6 Weeks

Saints rookie WR Robert Meachem will be out 4-6 weeks with a knee injury. The injury would hamper his progress as a viable fantasy player for 2007.

Team's Interested In Culpepper

It is becoming apparent that QB Daunte Culpepper's days are numbered in South Florida, but who would want him and his gimpy knee. Teams are starting to enmerge though, with Atlanta, Indianapolis, Oakland and Jacksonville reported to be the front runners. Atlanta could be a good spot for him if QB Michael Vick gets into any kind of trouble with the law, meaning that Culpepper would compete with another ex-Dolphin, Joey Harrington, for a starting job.

Top WRs in KC

It looks like the top 2 WRs in Kansas City will be Eddie Kennison and Dwayne Bowe.

QB1, QB2 For Bucs

As of right now, it appears as though the Bucs QB1 will be Jeff Garcia and the Bucs QB2 will be Chris Simms.

Lions RB News

It looks like Lions RBs Kevin Jones and Brian Calhoun will begin the season on the PUP List, leaving RB Tatum Bell as the team's RB1. Bell's fantasy value is looking quite good right now.

EFF BREAKING NEWS: Dolphins Acquire QB

Kansas City Chiefs traded QB Trent Green to the Miami Dolphins for a 2008 5th round pick, which could turn into a 4th round pick if he hits playing time incentives. Green must still pass a physical before the deal is complete. This could spell the end of the line for QB Daunte Culpepper in Miami.
