The Browns are benching QB Derek Anderson in favor of QB Brady Quinn in Week 10.

As of now it looks like QB Daunte Culpepper will be the team's QB1 this week.
Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger is expected to be a game time decision in Week 10. Look for another option at this point.

The Ravens have placed WR Demetrius Williams on the Injured Reserve List, ending his season for 2008.
The Ravens have signed WR Terrence Copper to be the team's WR5.
Redskins WR Santana Moss is considered a bad play this week, with his injury. He will probably not play in Week 9.
-After numerous visits as well as speculation the Lions finally made it official and inked FA QB Daunte Culpepper to a 2 year deal. The problem is that this may never come to pass with the situation as it is in Detroit. HC Rod Marinelli is almost certain not to survive after this season and with a new front office to be put in place the team may decide to clean house yet again with another youth movement. Culpepper wanted to go to a place where the opportunity to play is now but Detroit's coaching and front office situation may not allow that to happen.
- The Raven must be sold on Joe Flacco as their QB. The team released backup Todd Bouman which leaves only Troy Smith as the other QB on the roster.
-Steeler Rb Willie Parker is on target to play MNF v. the Redskins but will do so on a limited basis. Mewelde Moore should continue to get the majority of the carries.
-With the Patriot RB situation seemingly all on the sidelines due to injury, BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Kevin Faulk will split carries again this week for the Patriots. The good news is that they face a Colts team that was manhandled by the Titan running game last week and are now ranked 26th in the NFL against the run.
-Bucs RB Warrick Dunn will be inactive this weekagainst the Chiefs due to a pinched nerve in his neck
- Ram RB Steven Jackson fully expects to play this week v. the Cardinals and said so on his Web Blog. Wheteher or not HC Jim Haslett read it or not seem to be in question as the team still lists him as questionable on their injury report. This is sure to be one opf the higher scoring games in the league this week so a healthy Jackson should have his way with the Cardinal "D". Somehow in Week 8 this game is a huge game for both teams in a division that is the weakest in the league. If the Rams do win this one it tightens the division up and puts in place a potential division winner with an 8-8 record.
Cheifs RB Larry johnson has been suspended for a week by the NFL. Consdering his past, this season has to be considered a total wash.
FA QB Daunte Culpepper is expected to sign a 2 year contract with the Lions on Monday. He will probably become the team's QB2.

The Raiders have declared RB Darrin McFadden inactive for Week 8.
The Eagles have declared WR Reggie Brown inactive in Week 8.
Giants WR Plaxico Burress will not start today, and there is a better than average chance that he will not play at all in Week 8.

-The Bengals PK position is still up in the air for Sunday. Shayne Graham(groin) was held out of practice on Friday and the team will make a game time decision on him Sunday during pre-game warm ups. If Graham is a no go Dave Raymer will step in for the Bengals
- Bronco WR Brandon Stokley's playing status is uncertain for Monday night. Stokley is recovering from yet another concussion and the team with its' bye in week 7 may decide to give Stokley extra time to fully recover.
- In an effort to get some life out of the WR's, the raiders will sit Ronald Curry and replace him in the starting line up with rookie 7th round draft pick Chaz Shilens. The Raiders are excited about Shilens who possesses the speed to get deep but is also a physical presence in short yardage situations as well. The Raiders are going to give Shilens a long and serious look to better gauge his talents in game situations.
-The Seahawks will start QB Seneca Wallace for the injured Matt Hasselbeck(back and knee) this week v. Tampa

Reports out of Kansas City have RB Larry Johnson being suspended for this weeks game. The details are sketchy but Johnson was on the trading block this week and is not too happy about still being a Chief and may have gone a little too far overboard in expressing his feelings. Moving forward Johnson may become a detriment to the team and his attitude could cause turmoil to a team trying to rebuild
Giants K Lawrence Tynes will take over his job as placekicker in Week 7.

The Lions have placed QB Jon Kitna on the Injured Reserve List, ending his season for 2008. The team will be in the hands of QBs Dan Orlovsky and Drew Stanton. Can anyone say 2-14?
The Seahawks should be starting QB Seneca Wallace in Week 7, as QB Matt Hasselbeck has been ruled out for the week.
Cowboys QB Tony Romo will miss 4-5 Weeks with a broken pinkie finger. QB Brad Johnson will start in his place.
The Bengals will start QB Ryan Fitzpatrick in Week 7, as QB Carson Palmer is still injured.
The Cowboys RB Felix Jones will miss the next two weeks. It looks like RB Tashard Choice will be the team's RB2 this week.
The Rams have placed RB Brian Leonard on the Injured Reserve list, ending his season for 2008.
Chief TE Tony Gonzalez is on the trading block and will go only to a contenting team. The teams interested are the Giants, Eagles, Bills and Packers. Of those 4 teams the Giants seem to be the only true contender for a title and a team that Gonzalez could make even stronger. The Giants have offered a 6th rounder but the Chiefs seem to be insistent on a 3rd. At 32 years old Gonzalez only has a few good years left and with the Plaxico Burress situation in New York seems to be the best fit.

-Saint WR Marques Colston will play on Sunday albeit in a limited role. Colston will be on the field in 3 and 4 WR sets with Lance Moore and Deverey Henderson remaining in the starting positions.
-bengal QB Carson Palmer will miss this weeks game with his elbow injury with Ryan Fitzpatrick starting the game under center.
-Both Charger WR's could be on the sidelines on Sunday with Chris Chambers being the most severe. Chambers(ankle) still remains on crutches and Jackson having injured his knee in practice on Wednesday. Of the two it is more probable that Jackson will be in the starting lineup v. the patriots.
-Early reports have the Detroit Lions pursuing FA QB Daunte Culpepper. While there has been some minimal contact there has been no formal negotiations as of yet.
- Brown TE Kellen Winslow spent Thursday night in the hospital with what is being described as swollen balls. While not considered serious and a condition that will correct itself in time, it is painful and could be a precursor to testicular cancer. It is still unclear on whether or not Winslow will play on Sunday.
-The Miami Dolphins have outscored their opponents 24-0 in 4th quarters this season and are the only team in the NFL to not have a point scored on them in the 4th quarter.
- Still recovering from the vicious hit v. the Jets,Cardinal WR Anquan Boldin has been ruled out of this weeks game.

While a lot of the supposed elite players have not performed up to standards there are some FA's that could be an instant upgrade for teams. Here are the top performers that are still available on many leagues waiver wire
1) Steve Breaston (WR..ARZ) Breaston has fit in comfortably as the Cardinals #3 WR and last week in NY he racked up 122 yards receiving along with over 200 yards in return yardage. With the injury to Anquan Boldin looking as it could sideline him for a few weeks Breaston's value will surely rise.
2) Steve Slaton (RB..HOU) Slaton is the # RB in Houston and has scored a TD in each of the last 2 games. Slaton has shown he is a threat in both running the ball as well in the passing gameand with the Texans schedule( 4 straight at home) the offense may be able to maintain the momentum it showed last week.
3) Lance Moore (WR..NO) It looks like the absense of Marques Colston has elevated Moore into Drew Brees' go to WR. Over the last 2 weeks Moore has 14 receptions along with his 2 TD perfomance this last week. Brees is an elite fantasy QB which only can continue to benefit Moore.
4) Le'Ron McClain (RB..BALT) At first it appeared as if McClain would settle into the short yardage back but his play has earned him more and more carries. With the rib injury to Willis MaGahee McClain should be seeing an increased workload.McClain has scored 3 TD's the last 2 weeks and is the bruising type of back the Ravens have been searching for.
5) Kevin Walter (WR..HOU) Walter has been on quite a roll since the start of training camp. Walter has scored a TD in 5 of the 7 games the Texans have played and and was targeted 13 times last week v. the Jaguars. Walter is turning a solid #2 WR for the Texans and with a healthy Andre Johnson give the Texans a top WR tandem.
6) Miles Austin (WR..DALL) While Patrick Crayton is still the #2 WR in Dallas don't be surprised to start seeing Austin more and more as the season wears on. The Cowboys have seen all that Crayton has to offer and believe Austin has more upside than Crayton.Austin has scored a TD in each of his last 2 games and is a bigger more physical WR than Crayton.
EFF
-With Willie Parker unavailable until week 7 at the earliest Mewelde Moore will be the teams starter in Week 5
-Raven Rb Willis MaGahee suffered bruised ribs in their last game v. the Steelers and did not return to the game. While he will play this week he will be limited to about 20 carries for the game. Look for Le'Ron McClain to be involved in the running game.
-Since missing a 37 yard field goal attempt in Week 1 Jaguar K Josh Scobee is a perfect 10 for 10
-Cardinal WR Larry Fitzgerald is 41 yards shy of 5000 yards receiving for his career.
